The Optical Nanoscopy Workshop on Bio, Carbon-based and Photonic Nanomaterials, organized by University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB) and Attocube Systems AG, will be held at UPB, Romania, 04-05 July 2023.
The workshop will introduce latest s-SNOM imaging and spectroscopy technologies for nanoscale bio(chemical), optical and mechanical characterization of materials. Live demonstration will be performed on several types of samples, including on carbon-based materials, and free test measurements will be offered to workshop participants as technology evaluation and to trigger potential scientific collaborations.

The ESSENCE Cost Action will award 10 grants (Approx. 700 EUR each), to support the participation of its members to this workshop. The competition is open for Researchers in all career stages (possessing a PhD degree or PhD students).
Applicants are required to send a short CV including a motivation letter (up to one page max) to ca19118.essence.stsm@gmail.com. The Evaluation Committee will provide a decision in up to 7 days after the deadline for submission of applications.
